Malaysia – SIRIM Type Approval Requirements for Notebook PC’s; Modular Approach Eliminated

Under the new Malaysian radiocom regulations, Notebook applications will now fall under the

hybrid product category meaning each Notebook PC will need to be SIRIM Type Approved in

full regardless of whether it uses SIRIM Type Approved radio modules.

This new requirement is  effective immediately. Official regulations confirming the are due to be published 

shortly, more details will follow accordingly.
