Sanitary-Epidemiological Conclusion (SEC) shows compliance of products or services to hygienic standards established by Russian Law. SEC is required for submission to Russian customs, as well as to obtain GOST R certificates for some types of
products.
A SEC can be issued to a manufacturer (when the manufacturer and the holder of SEC
certificate are the same company) and to a contract (when the
manufacturer and the holder of SEC certificate are different companies). The principal document regulating the issuance of SECs is the Order of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights and Human Welfare Protection No. 776 dated 21.11.2005. Some products require certificates of state registration.
A hygienic report is issued for a period of 5 years.
