Standards Institution of Israel (SII) certs to SI60950-1 and SI60065 will not be accepted at Israel Customs after December 20, 2020. Certs will need to be updated to SI62368-1.
Israel Ministry of Economy (MoE) waiver certs on the other hand will remain valid until cert expiry (certs are valid for 1 year after issuance) after which you will be required to submit an IEC 62368-1 CB Test Report/Cert along with your emc test report of not older than 5 years. However, any product imported to Israel by the waiver must comply with the 62368-1 standard which must be declared by the importer. Importing products not in compliance with 62368-1 after December 20, 2020 is a violation of the importer.
SI60950-1 to SI62368-1 certification is relatively simple and could be updated by paperwork only and can take 3 weeks. SI60065 to SI62368-1 will require 2 samples for testing and the process could take 4-6 weeks. MoE 1 year validity waivers is also paperwork only and process is typically 1-2 weeks.
